Welcome come as you are

You don’t have to hold it all together or explain everything here. You don’t have to be “better” before reaching out. If you are exhausted from holding it all together, therapy with Kendra offers a place to rest, reflect, and return to yourself.

My practice is designed for those navigating layered identities, systemic fatigue, and the complexity of being human in an unjust world. Whether you’re facing relationship challenges, questions about gender or sexuality, burnout, religious trauma, or ancestral grief — this is a space built with you in mind.

Therapy with Kendra is a space built on the quiet strength of home — weathered beams, chipped paint, and a light that never goes out. Grounded in care, cultural awareness, and a deep respect for your lived experiences, you don’t need to knock. You were expected.

If you’ve been searching for LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in California, a Black therapist who understands systemic trauma, or a decolonial therapist for polyamorous or non-traditional relationships, I may be the right fit for you.

If you’re ready to begin, I’m here. The porch light stays on.

About Kendra

I’m Kendra, and I provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, online therapy for clients across California. I bring a decolonial, Afrocentric approach to therapy that centers authenticity and liberation. My work centers on community, embodiment, and deep listening. I’m not here to diagnose your humanity — I’m here to hold space for it.

I hold a rich educational background including:

  • PhD student in Sexuality Studies
  • MA in Counseling Psychology
  • MA in Sexuality
  • BS in Athletic Training
  • Certificate in Sexuality and Religion
My approach blends relational, narrative, and somatic practices with a deep understanding of how systems like colonialism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and anti-Blackness impact our mental health. I am not here to diagnosis your humanity or pathologize your pain. We’ll move at your pace, honor your boundaries, and listen to what your mind, body, and spirit are trying to say. You’re the expert of your life. I’m here to reflect, witness, and walk with you as you shape something meaningful from your experiences.
